A long and winding road
Such a long time since I've updated. I seldom have internet access to xanga any more, so there's little time to update. The days are filled - sometimes, with joy, sometimes with sorry.
We are making it, slowly. There are issues across the spectrum of my life that I have in my face constantly. I wish I were better at dealing.

The blog is written by a new friend of my youngest son. He is a senior this year, and we hope that he will be able to pursue his calling at my alma mater next year. Please pray for God to open the doors so he can prepare for God's plans in a way that doesn't leave him (or us) financially devastated.

it's another day!
Well, yesterday was a beautiful day. Temperature in the 60s or so, nice breeze. Even last nite, even though the temperature dropped a bit, wasn't bad - the hotel room i was in didn't even need the heat turned on (though I did turn off the air conditioning last nite.
I am such a homebody - last nite I found the hotel, checked in, read over class materials, played with the flat screen hd tv, got online to look for a place to eat, went driving around trying to find the place, found it, ate, went back to the room, watched some television, talked with joyce, went to sleep. Nothing exciting.
Today, I woke up early and just rested there for a few hrs, got up, got ready for my day, grabbed some breakfast, checked out, drove about a block to the classroom, and I'm ready for class - which starts around 8am.
Then after class today, I will try to get back to Columbus before the storms reach our home. If I can get home early enough, perhaps I'll make it to Wednesday nite prayer meeting (we'll have to see what state life is in when I get back - who is where and needs what, how the van is acting, etc.).

It's been awhile... again
without full internet access regularly available, I only get a chance to blog occasionally. I'm hoping that eventually full internet will eventually be available.
I'm doing okay, in general. I'm counting down the days until I see another of my kids. Of course, I see Jawn every day - well, every day that the two of us are in the same place. But it's been 2 months since I last saw Ben, 4 months since I last saw Daniel, and about 6 months since I last saw Laura.
We're planning for everyone to be together at the end of the month, at Laura's wedding. That will be so much fun.
Weather is improving, which is nice. I'm feeling okay - good days and bad days of course. Rest of the family are doing okay as far as I know - Daniel's studying like crazy to finish up the semester, Jawn is working towards the end of his high school jr. year. Both are looking for summer jobs.
We surely do appreciate the prayers being offered up for us and our loved ones.

long and winding road...
well, it's been quite some time since I posted an update. I have been trying to get used to using a vista machine. but it seems that between nasty keyboards, the nastiness of windows update, etc. I don't get a chance to do much fun stuff online these days.
even during spring break, most of my time was sent either chill-axing or running errands, or doing things with the family, and that leaves my internet doings behind.

it's been so long
It is very frustrating having my blog sites, etc. all blocked by my isp. However, just can't financially handle changing to someone else right now. Too many stressors pulling at me every which way.
I'm still cold, but the weather supposedly warmed up a bit today - into the 50s they promised. I was at work, then got chores done, and now am checking my email before the library closes.
Hope everyone is doing fine.
I'm supposed to run the sound board this weekend for a friend's wedding rehersal and wedding. Whee!
